The Tax Investigation Directorate continues its work on field to verify the risky entities

The Tax Investigation Directorate at the General Directorate of Taxes, is continuing its work on the field through its structures to identify the risky entities.

The main focus of the work of investigation structures will be to inspect those taxpayers that operate in the main city centres in Albania, in areas with a high activity as well as in markets.

The main objectives are:        

• Ensuring voluntary compliance and implementing the tax legislation;
• Inspecting those taxpayers that result in a reduction of the turnover compared to a year ago;
• Invoicing and issuance of the tax coupon;

The aim of the Tax Administration is at no moment to punish taxpayers, but to raise their awareness on self-declaration and accurate compliance of tax liabilities.
