The RDT of Durres holds a meeting with IMF on the performance progress

The Regional Directorate of Taxes in Durres welcomed in a business meeting the representatives from the International Monetary Fund mission led by Mr Steve Vesperman, Technical Assistance Advisor.

During the meeting, the IMF representatives had the chance to visit the premises of the Taxpayers’ Service, where they got closely familiar with the manner of informing taxpayers in this region, as well as the services provided. The IMF mission also got familiar with the information, training and assistance provided to the small business included for the first time in the VAT scheme. A special attention was also dedicated to the strategy followed for the assistance provided to the taxpayers that operate in the area of tourism during summer season.

The director of the RDT in Durres, Mr Valbona Sako, while expressing her remarks thanked the representatives of the IMF for the cooperation and assistance provided to professionally develop the Tax Administration.

During the meeting, Mr Vesperman, appreciated the work done by the RDT of Durres to increase performance, as well as the efforts being undertaken to provide as qualitative and timely services as possible to the taxpayers.

The IMF mission will be staying in Tirana till 3 December 2018.
