Clarification of the GDT regarding the case reported in the investigative TV show “STOP” in Klan TV station

Given the footage transmitted last night in the investigative TV show “STOP” in Klan TV station, the General Directorate of Taxes would like to inform the public opinion that based on the verifications conducted, the person appearing in the video as a tax inspector is not an employee of the Tax Administration.

The General Directorate of Taxes would like to use this opportunity to express its gratitude to the investigative TV show “STOP”, as well as to the businessman for their contribution in fighting corruption.

The GDT would like to assure the media, businesses and citizens that it will continue to work with professionalism in order to fulfil the duties and that it will show zero tolerance for corruptive cases that might be identified in its structures.
