The Implementation Structures at the GDT began the verifications on site in the touristic entities

The Implementation Structures at the General Directorate of Taxes have begun with the verification on site to ensure the well progress of the touristic season.

Therefore, several visits have been conducted in some entities in the area of Gjiri i Lalzit, in Durres, whereas work will continue throughout the touristic areas of the country to verify more than 20,000 taxpayers.

The aim of these visits is to inspect and verify those taxpayers that operate in this sectors, in order to ensure the observation of a number of obligations such as: being registered as a business in the NBC and Tax Administration; documenting goods in stock or in transport; issuing a tax coupon or tax invoice for every transaction performed by the taxpayer with his clients; registering all employees engaged in the business, whether full time or part time; displaying the prices of sale for goods and services provided.

The TA in no case aims to punish the entities, but to educate, inform and raise awareness in order to voluntarily comply with the tax liabilities, as defined by the legislation, as well as to encourage the due payments.

The Tax Administration is committed to be at any time present in the territory, to closely inspect and verify the situation in all the touristic areas of the country.
