The Tax Investigation intensifies inspections of entities in the south; no tolerance for those violating the law

The Tax Investigation Directorate in the Southern Region has intensified inspections in the coastal areas, in order to reduce informality and increase revenues. During the presence of these investigative structures on the field (Saranda, Ksamil, Himara, etc), it has been identified that there are still taxpayers that conduct unregistered activity, or that have not activated their economic activity, that do not issue tax coupon for every sale, that do not own invoices for products and services, or that do not register employees.

Referring to the data from this directorate, as a result of the inspections conducted on July 11th, the following measures were taken:

-For the entity Ilia Kolagji, located in Saranda, a hotel not registered in the tax authorities, seizure till its registration as a VAT entity.

-For the entity Mimoza Ali, located in Ksamil, a hotel not registered in the tax authorities, seizure till its registration as a VAT entity.

-For the entity Alqiviadhi Llazari, located in Potam, a hotel not registered in the tax authorities, seizure till its registration as a VAT entity.

-For the entity Marilena Hotel in Ksamil, penalization for failure to issue a tax coupon for the second time amounting at ALL 50,000. This entity has been seized for 30 calendar days.

The Tax Investigation Directorate at the GDT would like to attract the attention of taxpayers that operate in the touristic areas to comply with their legal obligation in order to ensure a well progress of the summer season, whether for national and international tourists.
