The GDT encourages taxpayers to declare the real salaries of their employees

The Directorate of Risk at the General Directorate of Taxes has begun to review the level of salaries declaration for employees of different professions, comparing them to the real salaries in the labour market.

Based on these reviews, it appears that some employers declare payments for specific professions that are considerably below the average level in the market or that are close to the minimum salary threshold determined for purposes of social security and health care insurance contributions.

Therefore, the GDT encourages taxpayers to accurately fulfil their liabilities, as well as to reflect the real declaration of their employees’ salaries.

The Tax Administration will continue to monitor such phenomenon and any irregularity or corrective omission, and will continue to take the measures provided for by the effective legislation.
