Turnover increases by 12% in the touristic areas
The Tax Administration is still present in all the touristic areas where business activity is conducted in order to inspect the situation closely.
Referring to the data available for the General Directorate of Taxes, the entities have resulted with an increase in turnover by 12% and increase of the issued coupons by 28%, this for June 1st till August 7th 2018, compared with the same period a year ago.
The data refer only to the Regional Directorates of Taxes in Durres, Vlora, Shkodra, Lezha and Saranda, where the majority of the tourism activity is focused.
The main goal of the Tax Administration, in the framework of the plan of measures for the touristic season, is to encourage the voluntary compliance with the legislation, as well as self-declaration by the taxpayers through on-going information and education.
