The Tax Investigation Directorate of the Northern Region has observed 375 entities in violation with a total value around ALL 12.5 million

The Tax Investigation Directorate structures of the Northern Region have intensified inspections in the touristic entities that conduct their business activity in Velipoja, Shengjin, Tale, Patok, Razem, Valbone, etc.

As of June 22^nd, this structure has conducted a total of 890 inspections, out of which 375 have resulted in tax violations with a value amounting at around ALL 12.5 million.

And more specifically:

• 43 entities have been found unregistered in the Tax Authorities operating in the area of hotels and tourism, bars and restaurants;
• 9 entities have been found without fiscal equipment and 26 entities did not keep it operational;
• 71 entities did not issue tax coupons (first time);
• 6 entities did not issue tax coupons (second time). These taxpayers were seized for 30 calendar days;
• 55 entities had undeclared employees;
• 58 entities had goods not accompanied by the tax documentation (invoices);
• 14 entities sold without issuing a tax invoice;
• 55 entities had lack of documentation, rental contracts, etc;
• 38 entities had other violations of the tax legislation.

The entities that did not issue tax coupons for the second time are:

-San Francisco located in the pedestrian’s road in Shkodra. It has been penalized for failure to issue a tax coupon for the second time and it has been seized for 30 calendar days.

-Bixhisteni Tavern located in the pedestrian’s road of Molo in Shkodra. It has been penalized for failure to issue a tax coupon for the second time and it has been seized for 30 calendar days.

-Gjakova Grill Restaurant located in Shengjin. It has been penalized for failure to issue a tax coupon for the second time and it has been seized for 30 calendar days.

-Villa Aurora located in Velipoja. It has been penalized for failure to issue a tax coupon for the second time and it has been seized for 30 calendar days.

-Shisha Room located in Velipoja. It has been penalized for failure to issue a tax coupon for the second time and it has been seized for 30 calendar days.

-Ferdinand Llukani located in Velipoja. It has been penalized for failure to issue a tax coupon for the second time and it has been seized for 30 calendar days.

Due to the penalties on using the fiscal equipment, the inspected entities have had an increase by 30% compared to the same period a year ago.

The main aim of these inspections is to educate, inform and raise awareness on the voluntary compliance of the tax liabilities, as well as to encourage them to perform payments on time.
