The Implementation Inspectors at the Tax Investigation Directorate of the Central Region of Tirana, involved in corruption acts, have been dismissed from duty

The General Directorate of Taxes has immediately dismissed 3 employees, serving as Implementation Inspectors at the Tax Investigation Directorate at the Central Region of Tirana, who were detained yesterday in accusation of committing the criminal offence of “Official misconduct” and “Passive corruption from public officials”.

The General Directorate of Taxes would like to make an appeal to every employee of the Tax Administration to be in strict compliance with the law and just the law, serving their work and institution. We also encourage the businesses and citizens to report corruptive acts, unethical behaviour and every illegal act from Tax Administration employees during their duty.
