The Regional Directorate of Taxes in Durres holds a joint information round table with businesses on the tourism plan

In the framework of the implementation of the plan of measures for the touristic season, the General Directorate of Taxes in Durres held a joint round table with the entities in this city which operate in this sector. This meeting was also attended by the directors of the Albanian Tourism Agency (ATA).

During her speech the Director of the Regional Directorate of Taxes in Durres, Mrs. Valbona Sako, expressed her gratitude to the entities for their cooperation with the Tax Administration and asked them to continue and implement with accuracy the tax legislation, as well as the obligations deriving from the latter. 

She said that the plan drafted by the General Directorate of Taxes aims at increasing incomes in one of the most important sectors for the economy of Albania, formalizing the business, increasing fair competition, stimulating self-declaration, as well as generating new jobs.

The RDT of Durres ensured the businesses that the aim is not penalization, but awareness-raising on the tax obligations and that these meetings are not a guarantee for the informal ones. “We are here to strengthen the bridges of cooperation between the Tax Administration and entrepreneurship, to promote correct behaviour by both parties and provide solutions to the problems”, said Mrs. Sako.

The entrepreneurs and the directors of ATA deemed as positive these meetings, which serve to the well progress of the touristic season in the country.

The Tax Administration will be present in the territory at any time, to closely inspect and verify the situation in all the touristic areas.
