Immediate dismissal for two inspectors of the Directorate of Tax Investigation Central Tirana region, involved in corruption acts

Upon detention of an employee and proceeding on bail of another employee serving as Implementation Inspectors at the Tax Investigation Directorate of the Central Region in Tirana, suspected to have committed the criminal offence of “Official misconduct” and “Passive corruption of public officials”, the General Directorate of Taxes would like to use this opportunity and express its gratitude to the Section for Investigation and Corruption structures for their cooperation.

With regards to these two inspectors, the measure of immediate dismissal shall be taken.

The General Directorate of Taxes would like to invite all businesses and citizens to be on its side, and report and fight such cases through every communication channel. The General Director of Taxes, Mrs. Vasilika Vjero, would like to make an appeal to every employee of the Tax Administration to rigorously abide by the law and only by the law, respecting his work and institution.
