The General Director holds a working meeting at the Regional Directorate of Taxes in Tirana
The General Director of Taxes, Mrs. Vasilika Vjero, held a working meeting on Tuesday at the Regional Directorate of Taxes in Tirana. She was accompanied by the Deputy General Director of taxes, Mr. Xhavit Çurri, by the Tax Investigation Director, Mr. Enertil Canaj, as well as by the Tax Investigation Director of the Central Regional, Mr. Adrian Shehu.
The focus of this meeting was the progress of performance of this regional directorate until now, which is the first by importance in the country, as it administers around 40% of the total taxpayers.
During her speech, Mrs. Vjero, highlighted the relevance of further increasing the quality of service to taxpayers. She asked for a maximum engagement to fulfil all the needs that the business has or that might emerge, especially for the category to be included in the VAT scheme, as of April 1st, 2018. With regards to these taxpayers, Mrs. Vjero asked from the Tax Administration of the Regional Directorate of Tirana to disseminate all the required information as well as to encourage business to visit the “Corner of assistance for small business” next to the Taxpayers’’ Service office.
Moreover, Mrs. Vjero, required that all the steps to respect the deadlines in conducting planned inspections be taken carefully, as well as for a coordination of institutional structures for those inspections having as an object the requests for refunding and their completion within the legal deadlines.
The General Director of Taxes said that the Tax Administration of RDT in Tirana shall focus its work on the education and awareness-raising of taxpayers to increase self-declarations, as well as tax incomes.
