The General Director of Taxes, Mrs. Vasilika Vjero, inspects the Regional Directorate of Fier

The General Director of Taxes, Mrs. Vasilika Vjero, held on Monday a working visit at the Regional Directorate of Fier. She was accompanied by the Deputy General Director of Taxes, Mr. Xhavit Çurri, by the Tax Investigation Director, Mr. Enertil Canaj and by the Tax Investigation Director of the southern region, Mr. Bardhyl Tafa.

In the meeting with the senior structures of this directorate, where she got closely acquainted with the current progress of performance, Mrs. Vjero, required that all the steps to respect the deadlines in conducting planned inspections be taken carefully, as well as for a coordination of institutional structures for those inspections having as an object the requests for refunding and their completion within the legal deadlines.  

Moreover, Mrs. Vjero asked for the establishment of special working groups as well as for the verification of the situation of farmers in order to increase the formalization of this category, but also of the collectors. 

During the meeting, Mrs. Vjero stopped by the Taxpayers’ Service office that she deemed as a model to be followed by other regions as well.

She emphasized the relevance of increasing the quality of service, fulfilling the special needs, dedicated to taxpayers like the “Corner of assistance for small business”. Through this corner, the taxpayers are assisted to fill in the tax declaration, and they are provided with detailed information on every problem or difficulty they might encounter during their daily activity.

 The General Director of Taxes also visited the Investigation office of the southern region, where she highlighted that this sector is one of the main pillars and strengthening its role is a necessity. She also mentioned the inspections that this structure is developing in this region. 

 The main philosophy of work for the Tax Administration is education and awareness-raising to increase self-declaration among taxpayers.
