Meeting with taxpayers in the RDT of Korça

The Regional Directorate of Taxes in Korça held a meeting with economists of this region and taxpayers from the city of Erseka.

This meeting consisted in discussions related to the implementation of the third Anti-informality campaign phase and to the Law No. 33/2017 “On the payment and deletion/remission of tax liabilities, customs duties, and the removal from circulation of the transport vehicles after the deletion/remission of the tax liabilities”.

The problems raised by the taxpayers and employees of the Regional Directorate of Korça were related to the existence of informal businesses which hinder free competition as well as the registration of many of them by the same person, in the same address in order to avoid tax liabilities.

As a follow up, the businesses expressed their requests to increase the level of information among the taxpayers by the Tax Administration and to facilitate tax procedures.
