GDT holds a meeting with the Tax Administration of the Czech Republic on sharing joint experiences

The General Director of Taxes, Mrs. Vasilika Vjero, accompanied by the General Deputy Director as well as by the directors of the Risk and Large Taxpayers Directorate, held a visit at the Tax Administration of the Czech Republic on sharing experiences among both administrations.

The delegation welcomed by the General Director of the Czech Tax Administration, Mr. Jan Ronovsky, deemed as very important the exchange of information among both tax administrations, as a key factor in the fight against fiscal evasion and on-going formalization of economies in the two countries. Both parties presented their manner of organization and functioning of the respective Tax Administrations. Their experts addressed such issues as:

  • Inspection of VAT declaration, issues and ways to fight fiscal evasion, transactions that taxpayers use to evade VAT payment.
  • Risk management and debt collection, and practical developments in both countries for debt collection.
  • Registration of online sales, taxation of online sales and issues related to VAT collection.

The participants were greeted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Prague, Mr. Riza Poda, accompanied by Mr. Lulzim Çota, Counsellor, and Mr. Ilirjan Kuka, Economic Councillor, who are working to enhance, extend and intensify bilateral relations in every area and level of joint interest, including establishing direct contacts among institutions that affect economic development, fight against informality and strengthening economic diplomacy between both countries.
