Meeting on the performance of the Tax Administration for January-May 2017

In a special meeting, the General Director of Taxes, Mrs. Vasilika Vjero, and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mrs. Irena Beqiraj, got acquainted with the performance indicators of the Tax Administration for January-May 2017. While analysing the indicators compared to a year ago, the General Director, Mrs. Vjero, appreciated the increase and realization of the revenues plan at the level of 104%. She highlighted and asked for the work to be conducted systematically, in order to ensure a progressive and sustainable increase each month.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mrs. Irena Beqiraj, said that the Tax Administration as a key pillar in strengthening the national economy, has considerably improved the performance indicators in these 5 months. She highlighted the fact to continue with the implementation of the economic plan of the government as well as its policies, emphasizing that the latest initiative of the government to reduce VAT for accommodation structures from 20 to 6%, will give a new impetus to the economical development of the country. 

Net income generated by the Tax Administration in the first 5 months of this year amount at ALL 89.7 billion.
