Announcement on the minimum and maximum salary from May 2017

Dear taxpayers! 

We would like to inform you that as of May 2017 the minimum monthly base salary at national level for employees, to be complied with by each natural or legal person, whether national or international, shall be ALL 24.000. (DCM No. 399, dated 03/05/2017)
 
For purposes of calculating the social securities contributions, the monthly gross salary shall be:

1. Not less than the monthly minimum salary, equal to ALL 000 (twenty-four thousand) and up to ALL 105.850 (one hundred and five thousand and eight hundred fifty), for employed persons;
2. Not less than the minimum salary, equal to ALL 000 (twenty-four thousand) and as per the definition of the person himself, up to ALL 105.850 (one hundred and five thousand and eight hundred fifty), for self-employed persons;
3. Equal to the monthly minimum salary of ALL 000 (twenty-four thousand), for unpaid family persons whom the self-employed works and legally co-lives with.

Moreover, the minimum salary of ALL 24.000 at national level serves to also calculate and pay the mandatory contributions of health care insurances.
