Small business in the VAT scheme. The second week of trainings is concluded; counselling and dedicated assistance
From March 12th to 15th, the second session of dedicated trainings of the Regional Directorates of Taxes of Tirana, Shkodra and Dibra was held, related to the small business that will be included for the first time in the VAT scheme.
In the first two weeks the total number of participants in these trainings amounted to more than 230 that represent around 700 entities. The participants got acquainted in details with the procedure to be followed in compliance with the legal obligations, the general concepts of VAT, filling in and deadlines for declaration of VAT, books of sales and purchases, filling in and declaring them, filling in a tax invoice, etc.
Moreover, at national level, dedicated visits are being conducted by the employees of the Taxpayers’ Service at those entities that will be included in this scheme. Up to now a total of 570 visits have been conducted on field.
Through a preliminary work, the General Directorate of Taxes has trained and engaged its best experts throughout the country, in order to provide assistance and inform as many entrepreneurs as possible that will be included for the first time in the VAT scheme.
The calendar of trainings, which covers the period until the end of June, has been designed to assist all small businesses, according to their geographic extension. The General Directorate of Taxes is ready and possesses all the capacities to increase the number of trainings, if deemed necessary.
A total of 100 training sessions have been foreseen, as well as around 10 thousand counselling visits at the business address. In order to assist all entities, 13 Corners of assistance dedicated to small business have been established.
By means of the specialists of the Taxpayers’ Service office, every regional directorate will enable the dissemination of leaflets and informative materials adequate for all small business that will be included in the VAT scheme throughout the country.
The General Directorate of Taxes stimulates and encourages all interested persons to become part of these trainings and to get acquainted with all the legal procedures and obligations.
