Gambling
The gambling activity in the Republic of Albania is regulated by the Law no. 155/2015, dated 12.21.2015 "On gambling in the Republic of Albania", and other legislative acts in compliance with this law.

The categories of gambling that are allowed to be carried out in the Republic of Albania, for which interested companies can be licensed are:

1. Betting on Sports;
2. Betting on races;
3. Casino / casino located in 5 star hotels;
4. Electronic Game in distance;
5. Resort Casino;
6. National Lottery;
7. Bingo TV.

The organizer of gambling is prohibited to employ and to allow the entering or playing on the premises of gambling any person under the age of 21, and must require an identification document to every player who plays in the premises of gambling, in order to not accept players under the age of 21.

The distances between the subjects of gambling and the institutions provided for in paragraph 2 of this Article shall be not less than 100 meters air distance in all directions. The distances are calculated between the extremities of the nearest two objects. The method of calculation of the distances under this section shall be determined by the Guidance of the Minister of Finance.

The institution responsible for licensing, supervision and control of the legality in the exercise of the activity of the organizers in the field of gambling, is the Gambling Supervisory Authority

The licensing term for all categories of gambling is 10 years and starts from the date of issuance.

The categories of licensing fees are:

1. For “betting on sports and betting on races in the runway" for the entire period of the license, is: 200,000,000 (two hundred million) ALL. In this fee is included the right to open up to 1000 secondary addresses in total.
2. For "TV Bingo" for the entire period of the license, is 40,000,000 (forty million) ALL.
3. For "Casino" for the entire period of the license, beginning from 1 billion (one billion) ALL. In this fee is included the right to open only 1 room in total.
4. For "Casino located in five-star hotels" for the entire period of the license, is 70,000,000 (seventy million) ALL.
5. For "Resort Casino" for the entire period of the license is 50 million (fifty million) ALL.
6. For "National Lottery", for the entire period of the license, beginning from 1 billion (one billion) ALL.

The license fee is paid in equal amounts over the entire term of the license.
